Opening, reopening, and closing projects

Open up a project

  1. Click Open on the Welcome screen or select from the main carte.

  2. In the Select Path dialog, select the directory that contains the project to open.

  3. Specify whether you want to open the project in a new window, or close the electric current project and reuse the existing window. See Opening multiple projects for details.

Open a project from the control line

  • In the command prompt, type:

    webstorm <path_to_the_project_folder>

Reopening contempo projects

WebStorm keeps the history list of the contempo projects, from which you lot can select the desired 1.

When WebStorm starts, the nearly recent project reopens by default (unless this pick is disabled on the System Settings page of the Settings/Preferences dialog (Ctrl+Alt+S).

Remove a project from the list of recent projects

  • From the main menu, select and click Manage Projects at the very bottom of the contempo projects list. From the list of recent projects, select the project to remove and and so select Remove from Contempo Projects from its context menu.

  • On the Welcome Screen, click Projects in the left-hand pane, select a project from the listing in the correct-hand pane, and then select Remove from Recent Projects from its context carte.

    Alternatively, click the Settings button and select Remove from Contempo Projects from the listing.

Closing projects
